During the design and testing of machines compliance with customer specifications is of major importance. As one of very few specialized laboratories, GCE is fully accredited for the analysis of all relevant properties of mineral ores and products, e.g. chemical and mineralogical composition, grain size distribution, specific surface area, or particle size and shape.
Sometimes, there are fundamental questions to be solved that go beyond the analysis of input and output materials. GCE provides consulting services on appropriate analytical techniques for different materials for different applications. Additional support includes setting up specifications considering analytical standards and specific requirements of the process. Moreover, GCE can provide industrial benchmark data to qualify the test products and relate product qualities to internationally accepted standards.
GCE offers on-site sampling and a certified analysis of field samples. Based on the results of field studies and mineralogical and chemical analyses, a first assessment of mineral resource can be derived.
Together with internationally accepted partner companies, GCE offers an assessment of mineral reserves using drilling and trenching programs as well as processing tests.
Representative samples of the different ore qualities are collected and processed at our technical center for validation of the required input material with regard to quality of the final product and lifetime of the deposit.
In close collaboration with our specialized in-house analytical team we guarantee the high standard of our chemical and mineralogical assessment, the evaluation of field studies, and certified sample or drill core analyses.
GCE is most familiar with mining concepts. A geological model of the deposit, identification of a mining strategy, and deploying the right mining equipment and machinery define the mine concept.
GCE provides all the project management needed to create a complete and appropriate mining concept. The qualities defined during the exploration phase will be transferred into a three dimensional mining model. According to the lifetime of the mine and the required qualities, a mining strategy is established.
In addition, together with specialist partner companies, GCE provides consulting regarding mine infrastructure requirements that include roads, buildings, water and utilities needed to facilitate mining.
GCE provides detailed processing concepts and supports construction of mineral processing plants under subcontract to engineering companies.

Since GCE is independent from any machinery manufacturer, our tailor made processing concepts are carefully adjusted to the input specifications of the down stream manufacturing plant.
Based on long-term experience and up-to-date know-how, GCE engineering services cover all technology and economic detail e.g. estimation of investment costs, main machinery along with technical data and unit price. Technical tests are carried out to calculate mass balances, energy requirements, operating and specific production costs. Finally, our engineers design detailed flow sheets of the process including 3D installation drawings of main machines and equipment.
